We're proud to have collaborated with fellow drama publishers Bloomsbury and Faber to launch the (Incomplete) Lit in Colour Play List: a new resource highlighting fifty-seven fantastic plays by writers of colour for 11-18 year-olds (and beyond) to read, study and perform.

The Play List aims to support schools to create more representative and inclusive drama experiences within the English and Drama curricula. It forms part of the wider Lit in Colour campaign founded in 2020 by Penguin and The Runnymede Trust.

The Play List has been curated by advisors mezze eade (Diversity and Inclusion Associate at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre and Education Associate at The Old Vic), Hannah Khalil (award-winning Palestinian-Irish playwright and dramatist) and Pooja Ghai (Artistic Director of Tamasha Theatre Company). As the name suggests, there are so many plays to choose from that it is inevitable this list must always be incomplete – further lists will be released annually.
