Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (1859–1930) was a British writer and physician, most famous for his Sherlock Holmes stories, which are milestones in the field of crime fiction.

Fiona Doyle is a playwright whose work includes: Abigail (Bunker Theatre, London, 2017); Deluge (Hampstead Theatre Downstairs, 2015; winner of the 2014 Eamon Keane Full-Length Play Award); Coolatully (Finborough Theatre, London, 2014; winner of the 2014 Papatango New Writing Prize); and So Gay (winner of the 2013 Play for the Nation’s Youth).

Her short plays include Rootbound and Rigor Mortis (Arcola Theatre) and Two Sisters (Southwark Playhouse).

She was awarded the Irish Theatre Institute’s inaugural 2015/16 Phelim Donlon Playwright’s Bursary and Residency Award.

Mathilde Dratwa is a playwright and screenwriter. Originally from Belgium, she lives and works in Brooklyn, New York.

Her plays include Milk and Gall, Dirty Laundry and A Play about David Mamet Writing a Play about Harvey Weinstein.

She is the co-founder of Moms-in-Film, which, among other things, provided free childcare to filmmaker-parents at SXSW and Sundance. She is a graduate of Cambridge University and Drama Centre London.

Maud Dromgoole is a writer from London. Her plays include: Mary's Babies (VAULT Festival/King's Head/Fertility Fest @ Bush Theatre/Jermyn Street Theatre, London, 2019); Rosa, Ursula and Richard (Finalist Mercury Weinberger Prize; reading at Old Red Lion); Blue Moon (Bread and Roses/The Courtyard/Arcola – as short play).

Her sitcom Acting Up was shortlisted for BBC Writersroom Comedy Script Room.

Sasha Dugdale is a translator and poet. She has translated the work of many leading contemporary playwrights writing in Russian, including: Bad Roads (Royal Court Theatre, 2017) and The Grain Store (Royal Shakespeare Company, 2009) by Natal'ya Vorozhbit; Playing the Victim (Royal Court and Told By an Idiot, 2003) and Terrorism (Royal Court, 2003) by the Presnyakov Brothers; and Ladybird (Royal Court, 2004), Black Milk (Royal Court, 2003) and Plasticine (Royal Court, 2002) by Vassily Sigarev.

She has published three collections of translations of Russian poetry and five collections of her own poetry, most recently Deformations (Carcanet, 2020). In 2016 she won a Forward Prize for her long poem ‘Joy’, and in 2017 she received a SOA Cholmondeley Award for poetry.

She has published two collections of translations of Russian poetry and three collections of her own poetry, Notebook (2003), The Estate (2007) and Red House (2011). In 2003 she received an Eric Gregory Award.

Gary Duggan is an Irish playwright. He won the 2006 Stewart Parker Trust Award for his first full-length play, Monged. Other works include Dedalus Lounge and Trans-Euro Express.
