The Kiss

By Zoe Cooper
Published in volume Inside/Outside

Lou's gigs have all been cancelled because of lockdown, and she's finding it hard to motivate herself, despite her wife Soph's 10-point daily action plan. It's easy to lose your way, when the world's been turned upside down.

Zoe Cooper's short monologue play The Kiss is a tender, funny and beautifully observed study of lives in limbo, and a glimmer of hope for what lies ahead. It was first performed as part of Inside/Outside, a season of short plays staged at, and livestreamed from, the Orange Tree Theatre, Richmond, in March 2021.

It is published in the collection Inside/Outside.
