By Ann Marie Di Mambro
Published in volume Scot-Free

A short play about domestic abuse, and its terrifying impact on families.

A woman has been thrown out of her flat. She whispers through the letter-box to her young daughter inside. Through the lies and resignation, a glimmer of hope.

Ann Marie Di Mambro's play The Letter-Box was commissioned by 7:84 Scottish Peoples' Theatre as part of Long Story Short: Voices of Today's Scotland, and first performed at Isle of Skye in February 1989 at Sabhal Mor Ostaig.

Press Quotes
