Grounding Your Play: From First Idea to First Draft

In this online workshop, playwright and writing tutor Carmen Nasr explores the playwright's process from the tiniest seed of an idea, through to the first draft. How do you go from a blank page to a full-length play? How do you 'plan' a play, but still stay open, fluid and creative? And most importantly, how do you manage that little self-critical voice in your head?

In the session Carmen will explore these questions and share techniques and exercises to help you along the way.

Carmen Nasr is a British-Lebanese playwright and Programme Director for the Playwriting MA at Manchester University.
