Two plays by a leading American dramatist, which together provide mirror-image investigations of coming of age in the sixties.

How I Learned to Drive is a Lolita-like tale of female sexual awakening under the watchful eye – and hands – of a largely sympathetic 'uncle'. It was premiered off-Broadway in March 1997, and went on to win the 1998 Pulitzer Prize.

The Mineola Twins is an outrageously satirical play examining women's experience and the women's movement over more than three decades in post-World War II America, as seen through the life of identical twins, Myra and Myrna, from Mineola, New York, who are played by one actress.

Paula Vogel is an American playwright and university professor. She received the 1998 Pulitzer Prize for Drama for her play How I Learned to Drive and the Award for Literature from The American Academy of Arts and Letters in 2004.

Also available: a single-play edition of How I Learned to Drive.
