Scarborough
By Fiona Evans
An electrifying portrayal of a dangerously charged romance between a fifteen-year-old and their teacher.
Fringe First Award, Edinburgh 2007
Step into a faded hotel room where a couple is having an illicit weekend away. Amidst the peeling wallpaper, they laugh, quarrel and make love, but they don't dare go out. After all, at just fifteen years old, one of them is just a child... the other their teacher.
The play was produced at the Royal Court Theatre, London, in 2008 in an expanded, two-part version, but could equally be performed as a one-act play for two actors.
