The Bruntwood Prize for Playwriting is the biggest national competition for playwriting. It is the search for great new plays and great writers.

The Bruntwood Prize for Playwriting began in 2005. Since then, 11 writers have been awarded a total of £120,000, there have been six full productions and well over 5,000 entries generated.
